Storyteller
Everybody's got a story, and I love to tell them. I write nonfiction for different publications and fiction for myself (so far).

Copywriter
I apply my hard-won newspaper writing skills to help a variety of companies tell their stories and attract new customers.

Ghostwriter
Having a story and knowing how to tell it are two different things. I help experts communicate their ideas more clearly.
Kind Words
“Scott Morris has the ability to encapsulate the truth in his reporting, a talent rarely seen today! He entertains with facts, and he gets it right!”

Sam Haskell, Emmy-winning Producer
"Working alongside Scott Morris for two decades in the newspaper business, two truths were consistent and clear. Scott is a gifted writer with full command of the nuances of the English language and a creative mind as well. And as strong as his writing skills are, his editing skills are even stronger. When Scott completed the writing of a story, he was not finished until he spent a great deal of time self-editing. By the time the story was turned in to an editor, it rarely needed more editing, as it had been edited by one of the best."

Leslie Criss, Editor, Invitation Tupelo
"Scott Morris is a genuinely outstanding writer. His style is colorful, exacting, articulate, appropriate, and always wonderfully accessible. His expression of musical and artistic ideas is effortless, and he manages to find an amazing balance in every article and story that he writes, no matter the length. I’ve enjoyed reading every piece published by Scott, whether humorous, poignant, passionate, informative, or a combination of a host of other expressions. Scott is a rare breed of writer whose work is always a joy to read."

Morris Stories
We tell our stories,
and they tell us
I’m M. Scott Morris, a Storyteller, Copywriter, and Ghostwriter. I wake up in the morning, dive into my novel, and then spend the rest of the day as a writer for hire. It’s a good life.
